No poker...though have a few free Senior PGA Golf Selections

I haven't played any poker the past few days, as Monday, Tuesdays and Wednesdays are golf days for me and concentration required in that area for Formbet.

So I will be back to the challenge come tomorrow and hopefully get the show on the road for the poker.

Now I offer my services to the formbet website and select golfers for the US and European tour.  Though now I am going to use my own rating model with the Senior tour and will give you a few selections each week on a Wednesday evening, after all the selections have been made for the Formbet website.

This is the first week that I am giving these selections and hopefully will find a few winners along the way.

The Champions Tour has a 'Major' this weekend in the Senior PGA Championship. Which is aired all weekend on sky sports, so something to watch alongside the Formbet Selections for the European Tour and USPGA.  Please if you haven't give them a go for just a fee of £2.50 for the week, and alongside my selections you will have access to Daves fantastic ratings.  www.formbet.co.uk

Now this weekend Champions tour event is at Valhalla.  I have first rated all the Champions tour players based on many areas of play.  Once I rate these players I look at current form and try and narrow players down a bit.

Looking at the course history is a little trickier with the Champions tour, although I have look at a couple past tournaments at the course and the seniors that have played decent in their younger days.

Finding great value this weekend has been a bit tricky, seems the bookies have a good judge on the event.

So who to plump for?

KENNY PERRY 10/1 bet365 - Has placed here on the PGA tour previously, and on the Champions tour has a top 5.  He is still capable to compete with the younger guys and seems to like Valhalla, so from him or the hot champions tour player Tom Lehman 6/1 I would rather plump for Kenny Perry this weekend.

NICK PRICE 11/1 BET365- Nick has been playing very well on the champions tour this year, already 3 top 5 finishes to his name, and in the past has performed decent at the course.  So again worth a win bet only like Kenny Perry.

MARK BROOKS 66/1 BET365 - Mark won here on the pga tour and that should bring back good memories for him,  for a previous winner at the course 66/1 is crying out value for me and worth a each way selection at the price.

MICHAEL ALLEN 16/1 PADDY POWER - Final selection will be with the form player of the season who has not won yet.  He has place 4 times in the top 5 this season and so just this and rated in the top 5 on my ratings, Allen looks a solid enough bet at 16/1.

Now for a big outsider and has a top 5 to his name this year, is ROBERT THOMPSON 200/1 VARIOUS.  Cracking price based on my ratings and looking at the form aspect for which I rate players on.  Ranked 11th on my overall ratings, and for this reason Thompson looks overpriced in the market.

SENIOR PGA:
WIN SELECTIONS
KENNY PENNY 10/1
NICK PRICE 11/1
MICHAEL ALLEN 16/1

EACH WAY SELECTIONS
MARK BROOKS 66/1
ROBERT THOMPSON 200/1

Not alot done but watch golf and enjoy a meal with the folks..

No poker for me today and day off as been busy with the golf today as both my tips in Ian Poulter and Nicolas Colsaerts were bang in there and Poulter came out top at 18/1.

Also had a nice winner on the European tour with Michael Hoey and slightly annoyed I advised this not to be advised....if you get my drift.

Then to make matters worse David Toms was top of my shortlist of players and I didnt pick him nor bet him and find out he was best price of 38.00....that made me feel a bit sick to the stomach as all 3 winners I gave strong mentions too in my forum write up.  Would of been a nice treble!  ARSE!

Still for a couple quid worth having a look....www.formbet.co.uk

Then when I seen Poulter go 2 up and Hoey leading by 2 on the 17th I thought ok everyone we can go for some dinner!  So the one day In laws down from Liverpool along with my folks spent some quality time together along with my dearest one and high octance son.

Good afternoon and evening.

Poker now will restart tomorrow and get back to the gradual increase in the bank and not get greedy nor play  tired.

Oh Dear....7 bucks bits the dust

Well just had a rough ride and all my fault and just shows dont try and go into a game with more than you can afford...

Firstly started with a $2 sit down at 2/5cent no limit rush poker and proceeded too lose the lot...cards didn't fall my way at all and some silly chasing and the 2 bucks vanished.

Then I thought would sit down with 5 bucks in a 25/50cent limit rush poker game, and again some silly decision making, and well I should of quit when at $7.20..but I didnt and the story was didn't have a happy ending, I slowly ended up losing the lot!

Lesson learnt do not play above my means on this adventure.

So 7 bucks lost and the bank now stands at $13.36.

If you said to me I would have this amount on Saturday when I started I would of been more than happy...but I'm not pleased with my play in the past hour and need to have a break and get my head sorted out and get back to solid poker and not chase the flushes and straights.

20 bucks...another milestone

Happy with the 20 bucks milestone...

Playing 2/5 cent rush poker and so far so good, found my niche I think with this rush poker.

Below is the milestone hand that broke the 20 buck barrier....onward and upward

Errr...sorehead and more profit

Well did I mention I went to bed after that quad 5 hand?

I looked in the fridge and seen another can of cider staring me in the face...my loving partner was sound a sleep and she wouldn't miss it anyhow?!?! So cracked it open and thought one more blast at the tables...so that is what I did, turned the TV off from the golf and popped open a table of 2/5 cent Rush Poker.  Did I tell you how much I like rush poker?

The decision to play slightly tipsy paid off, and 75% of the time these types of decisions don't normally pay off and you wake up in the morning with a chunk of change missing!  Though I don't care this time as it helped build the balance up and set me up nice...and things are going swimmingly very well!

I'm just trying to recap my hands I played until nearly 3am....as with a number of beer cans and cider cans in the bin, my memory is a little hazy and the head is slightly sore.  Well it was Friday after all...who can blame me for letting my hair down.

5555....time for bed and goodnight everyone

I was really wondering where the next hand was coming from...

It has been a long ole night, a few beers and a current can of cider along the way.. what was I saying taking advantage of the merry players?!?!

Anyhow I had at one stage got myself op on a $5sit down 25/50 cent limit game of holdem up a few bucks and sitting pretty and I think thats when the devils water kicked in and well it dwiddle down to a couple bucks on the table and the mind started to get desperate!

Anyhow a little pair of fives came along and oh boy was it fun....
